How do I get there?
We are located in downtown Kendallville, at the corners of State & Rush streets. Physical address is 229 South State Street, Kendallville, IN 46755.
Where do I park?
All parking is near the church and visitors and guests may park near the entrances. There is on street parking around the church on Rush and State Streets, and the parking lot behind the church building. If these are full, Young’s Family Funeral Home has been kind enough to let anyone park in their lot for services ore ministry happenings.
What do I bring?
Bring yourself and maybe a Bible if you wish to follow along with the readings from your own. There are also Bibles and Hymnals in the pews.
When do I need to arrive?
Our worship opportunities are at 8:15 and 10:39 with Sunday School at 9:30. Come a few minutes early to park, hang up your coats and chat.
What do adults wear?
You are welcome to wear whatever you are comfortable in. Members and attenders wear a variety of clothing from their "Sunday Best" to jeans or shorts. We feel that it is not what you wear, but who you are. God looks to the heart not the labels on our clothing.
What do children wear?
Children should wear comfortable clothes. During Sunday School they may spend time playing on the carpeted floor, or they may work with art supplies. Sometimes they may go outside.
What are the services like?
Both worship opportunities are in our sanctuary. The 8:15 worship time is more of a "Traditional" service with liturgy and readings that guide our service, music shared by others, congregational singing hymns accompanied by a piano and organ, prayers, and a sermon. Our 10:39 worship time is a modern format. The music is led by a praise and worship team that plays modern instruments with songs that you will hear on the local Christian radio stations, and is more informal in style. We utilize projection in both services to assist those who may be visually impaired, have trouble holding a hymnal due to small children or health issues, or simply prefer to worship unhindered from “thumbing” through resources. We do use pew Bibles, or feel free to bring your own to follow through with the scripture reading and sermons. We use the New Living Translation as our primary Bible version. It offers good scholarship, that is easily understood. We do celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month. We usually practice “intinction” (a common loaf that is broken off and dipped in juice). We do practice healthy practices during “contagious seasons.” You do not need to be a member of the church to participate nor do you need to feel obligated to participate.

May our child stay with us during the service?
Yes, but children are also invited to attend our Children's Worship (Activity Time and Bible Zone) which is held during the worship hour. The children are invited up front for a “Children’s Sermon” then they are taken to the rooms by the person who will lead the time during the sermon.
We have a staffed nursery, and we also have a “cry” or nursing space directly below the sanctuary in a nicely outfitted room. This room has a speaker to listen to the message, a changing table, and soft comfortable chairs.
What to do after the service?
There is fifteen minutes between services and Sunday School when people visit in the Narthex or entry way over coffee, juice, and snacks. Feel free to join us in fellowship.
Is your church accessible to people in wheelchairs?
Yes. We have handicapped parking spaces, elevator to the four levels, handicap restrooms, and areas in the sanctuary where a wheel chair user can sit without feeling in the way or on display.
Do you have services for the hearing impaired?
Hearing assistance devices are available in the sound booth or an usher before the Service and may be used anywhere in the Sanctuary.
